Hemas Hospital Thalawathugoda has introduced a unique new service which will provide hospital facilities in the comfort of one’s home. The new service called Community Health Watch, aims to lower the time people spend in hospital while remaining under the care of the hospital’s Consultant, with treatment delivered by a clinical team including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, laboratory assistants and healthcare support workers. The service was flagged off by Managing Director, Hemas Hospitals, Dr. Lakith Peiris recently, the hospital company said.

The home-care service with its clinical team will provide quality healthcare, maintaining the standards and benchmarks that Hemas Hospital brand is known for. The mobile homecare facility is available 24 hours, every day of the week. The service offers OPD, laboratory testing for blood and urine samples, physiotherapy plus emergency care thus providing a comprehensive service.

Dr. Peiris, Managing Director of the hospital group was upbeat about the new amenity. “We are excited about this new service as it falls in line with the hospital’s mantra of quality healthcare and patient’s convenience and we always aim to better respond to the needs of a population”.

He said that patient satisfaction is a key objective. “Hemas Hospitals is conscious of the need to ensure that any service introduced in addition to being innovative is of the highest possible standard,” he explained.
