CA Sri Lanka recently launched a specialised BSc. Degree in Applied Accounting, which has been approved by the University Grants Commission. The degree programme comes with a series of exemption schemes for the benefit of members of professional bodies, including exemptions for CIMA members and students, giving them the opportunity to fast-track their way to obtain a recognised academic qualification in accounting, which will further complement their professional standing in today’s complex world, the institution said.

The special exemption scheme is offered to members and exam completed students as well as those who have completed the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting and looking at progressing to the next level, thereby adding merit to their existing qualification paving the way to enjoy bigger opportunities in their career.

The degree programme, which is currently on its fifth intake, has also received international recognition for its contemporary curriculum in line with international study standards, and is also followed by foreign students apart from Sri Lankans.

The CA Sri Lanka degree has also received accreditation from CPA Australia, one of the world’s largest accounting bodies.
