Gestetner to reposition itself in Sri Lanka

Total documents solutions provider Gestetner, is to reposition itself in Sri Lanka further expanding its business countrywide with a new image.
Gestetner of Ceylon PLC unveiled its new image at an event held at Cinnamon Grand recently The new corporate logo sports a cutting-edge look in vibrant shades of red and blue. The clean circular ‘G’ signifies the flow of end-to-end solutions offered by the company, culminating in a smart arrow indicating the growth envisioned.

Gestetner – a technique of reproducing or duplicating documents was first introduced to the world by a gentleman called ‘David Gestetner in the early 1900s and the product got roots in Sri Lanka in the 1950s with the establishment of Gestetner company in Sri Lanka which was subsequently listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange.

This was disclosed by Chaminda Perera, Managing Director, Gestetner of Ceylon PLC (GoC) at the unveiling of the Company’s new corporate logo in Colombo .

Mr Perera further said that as the demand for their reputed products which the company now deals with, their dealer network is now widespread in the country which expanded in a short space of time to 20 distributors and their dealer network is committed to their task of service and said that this is also an occasion to complement the team as their achievements have pushed the company to new heights.

He said that GoC has been in Sri Lanka for the last 70 years and has been the pioneers in the industry in Sri Lanka.

.Mr Perera pointed out that their Company’s core business products are of Japanese origin, while Rocoh is in the number one position in global market share, Fujitsu occupies the top laptop brand slot in Japan and BenQ projectors are within the top three in terms of global market share.
The Company also sells and rents equipment in addition to undertaking high quality digital printing and offset printing, he said.

The product portfolio includes Ricoh, BenQ, Fuji and Lenovo, he said adding that the services are being provided by Nashua Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (Gestetner Offset); Gestetner Printing Services (Pvt) Ltd (Gestetner Outsource), under the parent company Gestetner of Ceylon PLC.
