‘D Major’, a band with growing popularity in Sri Lanka took their fabulous performances across the seas to Australia and tantalised a massive audience in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in February and March.

The Band led by Hector Dias, one of Sri Lanka’s finest Saxophonists gave the respective audiences a night like no other. The venues filled to capacity, were left mesmerised with a unique blend of Sinhala and English songs ranging from nostalgic 70s to romantic blues to contemporary music to vibrant baila. With the spirit of Cricket in the air the Sri Lankan fans were awestruck when Hector Dias walked in to the audience and drove them crazy with a surprise ‘Papare’ session making magic with his Saxophone.

The famous and much loved King of baila, Desmond de Silva and the popular songstress of all time Mariazelle Gunatilaka blended in with the sensuous voice of Hector Dias, backed by D Major to entertain a raving audience screaming for more!

Commencing their tour with a magical Valentines ball, the band went on to tour in the selected states giving their fans a vibrant and classy entertainment experience. Their innate ability to play a fabulous mix of both old and contemporary songs with the added touch of special saxophone segments made them tug at the heartstrings of both the young and old.

As 2015 unfolds, D Major has many more tours lined up to cater to their fans abroad. They also hint at giving their fans here at home a unique concert towards the second half of the year.
