Ashan shines as Navy SC dominate
Ashan Ranasinghe shone with an all-round performance as Navy SC dominated proceedings against BRC in the Emerging Trophy cricket encounter at Welisara.
Ashan’s knock of 109 supported by half tons coming from Lahiru Jayakody and Dhanushka Gurusinghe enabled Navy SC to make a massive 406 for 8 declared.
Ashan followed it with a six wicket haul as he made BRC who ended day two on 172 for 7 struggling for their runs.
Lankan CC have already taken a first inning lead over Police SC when when play stopped on day two in the match at Police Park.
