Porsche recorded another successful year with the delivery of 4,846 cars to countries in the Asia Pacific region including Sri Lanka, which is an increase of 53 per cent compared to 2013, according to a media release issued by Eurocars (Pvt) Ltd, the sol authorised local importer and dealer for Porsche.

Sales in Indonesia, Brunei, French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Sri Lanka represented 330 units, which is a 10 per cent increase compared to the previous year, Managing Director of Eurocars (Pvt) Ltd, Alexandria Senanayake stated.

Taiwan contributed 3,352 vehicles (68 per cent growth) to the total sales of Porsche in the Asia Pacific region. Sales in Malaysia and Singapore grew by 35 per cent to 771 units. Other important markets within the region, including Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam continue to develop by 27 per cent. Porsche Asia Pacific welcomed the new market Cambodia, which has been in operation since 2014, and Mongolia, planned for operation at a later stage of this year.
