Ltd., sponsored, “Honda” Trophy, MCA Division ‘G’ 25-over League Tournament, which continued last weekend.

Sandarigoda, finished with impressive figures of 5-1-14-5 to spearhead Lankem Ceylon to a 3-wicket win over South Asia Gateway Terminal.

Two wickets each in the fifth and 16th overs by Dilushan Peiris (5-0-20-5) gave Jetwing Travels a resounding eight wickets win over MI Synergy.

Medium pacer, K.W.D.S. Perera’s bowling effort for Mt. Lavinia Hotel (5-1-33-5) did not bear fruit, as the Hoteliers went down by four runs to Ceyline Holdings.

The best batting for the weekend was registered in the tied match between debutants, Butani Capital Vs. MBSL Insurance ‘B’. Both teams finished with 190 runs each, with Harith Wanigarachchi scoring an explosive 80 not out in 29 balls inclusive of eight sixes and six fours for Butani’s and Lahiru Gihan thumping a 44 ball 81 not out, inclusive of 11 sixes and a solitary four for MBSL Insurance “B”.
