Chatham House (Pvt) Ltd (CHL) and Automotive and Solar Environmental Technology Trading Company (ASET), two pioneers in their trade, have entered into a joint agreement branded as CHASE Technologies to promote renewable energy solutions in Sri Lanka.
CHL said in a media release that it has secured major government infrastructure development projects in Sri Lanka funded by agencies such as KFW, World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

“With the introduction of Net Metering to Sri Lanka by the power utilities, CHL too has become a provider of Solar Net Metering systems and is a company approved by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Sri Lanka. Following a government competitive tender process by the Lanka Electricity Company Ltd (LECO), it was also selected as the preferred provider to be registered with LECO to provide solar energy solutions to the LECO consumer base,” it said.

ASET is the sole agent in Sri Lanka for Steca, Memmingen; Solarwatt, Dresden and Schletter, Kirchdorf-Haag – all of Germany. In over 14 years of operation, ASET has installed individual solar systems throughout Sri Lanka ranging from small 50 Wp solar home systems to small and medium size off grid inverter systems as well as wind-solar hybrid systems. ASET has also installed a large number solar powered Blood Bank equipment in government hospitals on the East coast of Sri Lanka, from Vallaichchenai, Kalampatai and other villages around Batticaloa up to Kinniya in Trincomalee, funded by international funding agencies such as KFW, UN, IOM and other NGOs.

In keeping with the vision of Chase, a 4 tiered solar solution has been developed with access to loan schemes offered via Pan Asia and NDB Banks, with a view to cater to the varying needs of consumers.

CHASE Technologies is also the first company in Sri Lanka to offer a specially designed Battery storage, called “Solarwatt Storage”, consisting of Lithium-Iron-Phosphate batteries providing a guaranteed 5000 cycles or 7 years of performance, the release said.
