Prof. Liyanage appointed to Singer Board
View(s):Prof. Uditha Liyanage has been appointed to the Board of Singer (Sri Lanka) Plc as an Independent Non-Executive Director, filling the vacancy created by the demise of director G.C.B. Wijeyesinghe.
Prof. Liyanage holds the position of Professor of Management Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Adjunct Professor of Management of University of Canberra, Australia. Following the new appointment, the Board of Singer (Sri Lanka) comprises H.D.S. Amarasuriya (Chairman), H.A. Pieris (MD/CEO), A.M. de Silva Jayaratne, S. Kelegama, P.J.O Donnell (alternate M.P.A. Salgado), G.J. Walker (alternate M.H. Wijewardena), L.N.S.K. Samarasinghe (alternate to H.A. Peiris), J.J. Hyun (alternate V.G.K. Vidyaratne), U.P. Liyanage.
