Boutique hotel “Sigiriya Villa” commenced construction with the laying of the foundation stone in Indigaswewa, Sigiriya recently, a media release issued by the company stated.

Fully owned and managed by Future Hotels, the hotel is stated to be an eco-friendly project that would provide luxury holiday environment to its guests.

The project would consist of 15 chalets that would include luxury comforts, quality service and an exceptional guest stay with an appreciation of all local culture.

Additionally the project would produce employment opportunities to the local community and involve them in promoting village activities, products and cultural activities, it was stated. “Sigiriya Villa” is scheduled to be completed by 2016, the company stated.
