Touchwood appoints advisor to the board

Mr. Ekaratne who hails from a family with a legal background is a past pupil of Royal College, Colombo and a Senior Partner of Ekaratne Associates.
He possesses a Masters degree in International Trade Law from University of Wales, UK. He also possesses a post graduate degree in Intellectual Property Law and is currently reading for his Ph.D.
He has authored a book on ‘Customs Law’ and has appeared in many controversial cases in Sri Lanka. He has formally worked as a legal consultant and an advisor to many companies and also in nongovernmental organisations both locally as well as abroad.
Touchwood Investments PLC Chairman, W. L Kiwlegedara said he was confident that this appointment which is backed by vast experience and expertise knowledge would not only strengthen but also manage most of the issues that would crop up in re-structuring the company in keeping with the norms of the Company Law regulations.
