Dell sustains position as No.1 PC Vendor in Sri Lanka

Dell has once again topped the list as the No.1 PC vendor in Sri Lanka for the second quarter of 2013 as reported by the International Data Corporation (IDC), the company said this week.

Dell increased its market share to 34.6 per cent of the overall PC market in the country from 29.2 percent in the previous quarter, it said.

In addition, Dell has sustained its position as the country’s leading notebook vendor with a 43.7 percent market share in Q2, recording a significant sequential growth.

“We have been able to sustain our number one position and grow market share in the last quarter. This achievement is a testament that our strategy is working and that more customers are adopting our wide range of solutions to fulfill their IT needs,” said Lackshmindra Fernando, country manager, Dell Sri Lanka.

He said the company has introduced a range of tablets to suit the ever growing demand for on-the-go devices which has seen significant growth in the last quarter.

The Dell portfolio comprises an extensive array of notebooks, desktops, and mobile Internet devices, ranges from stylish, innovative, and high-performance products, which appeal to the broadest array of enthusiasts

- business users, students and families as well as hard-core gamers.
