The 16th International Exhibition of Photography, Sri Lanka 2013 at the J.D.A. Perera Gallery, 46, Horton Place, Colombo 7, open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

The exhibition has the patronage of the Federation of International Photographic Art and Photographic Society of America. An eminent Selection Committee comprising five leading photo artists including one from Bangalore, India, helped to select 302 photographic works for the exhibition and made their recommendations for the awards.

The National Photographic Art Society of Sri Lanka, founded by the late Wilson Hegoda in 1950 is now a government-approved charity, managed by a group of volunteers.

The society’s objective is to turn out creative photo artists by offering a streamlined education on photography free of charge to all who are interested in the field.
