As usual it is a never ending story for the popular band Misty in the year 2013 too. After finishing one of the most successful years of Misty’s decade of music, the band had just finished its January commitments.

They have finished the year 2012 with their ‘Tenth Anniversary Concert’ at Waters Edge, which considered as the most successful concert of the year. With icing on cake like much talked about New Years Dance at Cinnamon Lakeside, Rajitha said the boys are now ready to take the world by storm.

‘Misty’ on a world tour from the Friday, 15 February, touring eleven cities in six countries across the globe till end of April.

‘The boys and Merlina are all excited and all our fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for Misty’s arrival. I dedicate this tour to my ‘Team Misty’ especially to my long standing buddies Dennis and Sanjeeva for being with me over a decade and to Udaya for seven long years’ said leader Rajitha Rupasinghe .

The band kicked off from Qatar, where they serenade the Peteries for a ‘Valentines Dance’ at the Crown Plaza hotel in Doha on the 15th February.

Misty will be off to Malaysia for a gala Dinner Dance organized by the Sri Lankan Association in KL, which will be held at the Sunway Resort Hotel next weekend.

‘We, then head for Dhaka, Bangladesh for a gala ball at the Raddisson Garden Hotel, Dhaka organized by a group of Sri Lankans joined hands with some British expatriates’ added Rajitha. The Royalist’s in the U.S cities keep wanting Misty for their annual dances and the band will cross the border in between to Toronto to usher the Trinitians too. Royal College Ball will come alive at the NASA- Space Centre in Houston, Texas on 23rd March, while Trinity College OBU Dinner dance will be held in Toronto, Ontario on 6 April.

Royal Soiree gala night will be held at the Hilton Rockville, Washing DC, Maryland on 13th April and Royal College dance of New Jersey will come alive at Royal Manor in NJ on 20th April, while – Royal College LA Dance will be held at Gateway Sheraton, LA, California on 27th April.

‘We then go all the way to Down Under to our biggest fan base in Melbourne for the Lions Club ball ‘Autumn Breeze’ on the 4th of May’ Rajitha explained.

‘Performing for the very 1st time for the Royalist in Sydney at the Epping Club is our next gig in Aussie on the 11th May’ he added. Misty will be in action in Perth, where a Dance organized by the Western Australia Sri Lanka Association (WASLA) will be held on 18th May.

‘We will head home by 22nd May after touring nine weeks non stop around the globe’ he said.
Misty now comprises of Rajitha Rupasinghe – front line singing ,
Melina Fernando – Vocals, Dennis Alwis – Drums,
Udaya Welikala – Keyboards, Sanjeewa Hettige – Bass and Sudath Munaweera on guitar.
