LAUGFS IT wins Special Merit Award at e-Swabhimani 2012

LAUGFS Holdings’ Corporate Information Technology (IT) Department was acknowledged with a Special Merit Award for the development of its own in-house developed LAUGFS Car Care Vehicle Maintenance System at the prestigious National Best e-content Award ‘e-Swabhaimani 2012’ recently.The award marks the second time that LAUGFS Corporate IT has been recognized having previously secured the Merit Award for another of its in-house developed systems, ‘Intranet’ at the National Best Quality ICT Awards 2012 (NBQSA), organized by the BCS The Chartered Institutefor IT Sri Lanka (BCSSL) Section in October last year.The e-Swabhaimani awards, organized by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) place a particular emphasis on recognizing local developers who use ICT in an innovative fashion to create value for their companies whilst also promoting a more inclusive information society.
