Savoy to be converted to 3D

Savoy cinema, one of the oldest theatres in the country is to be uplifted to a 3D facility soon. The theater which is now in the process of conversion has been closed and it will resume operation on July 10 with Hollywood animation mega hit “Ice Age 4”.

Well equipped with the latest movie technology, Savoy can accommodate 715 patrons in addition to 8 box seats. In addition to Sri Lankan, it also shows movies in other major languages like English , Tamil and Hindi and the cinema currently screens four movies per day.

The theatre that has long been one of the top end movie entertainment centres in and around Colombo city is owned and managed by EAP Films and Theaters Private Limited.
