Sachin and Afflli top RCGC 2011/2012 Rankings

Sachin De Silva maintained his early advantage through the year to be the #1 on the Gross Standings after the 25 round grueling Royal Colombo Golf Club Tournament calendar for the year 2011/2012. The outgoing Captain Sanjiv Vairawanathan played consisten Golf and closed the gap with Sachin and all but caught him to be Ranked # 2 with a deficit of only 100 points! It was a fitting result with the most promising future prospect Sachin at # 1 and seasoned campaigners including David Evans, Nirmal Hettiarachchi, Sheron Fernando and other new and familiar faces completing the competition.
In the Nett Standings Afflli Rahim overtook Sachin who was leading the Nett standings too at the halfway stage and playing consistent Golf held on to a 100 point lead to take the # 1 Spot in the Nett Grand-Prix. The battle in the Nett Standings is more intense with the handicap allotment giving every player an equal opportunity to collect points in each and every round.

Consistent performances see single figure handicap Golfers maintaining a strong-hold with a few exceptions like the ever improving youngster Zaffar Sikkander, Priyanka Hapugalle and others with slightly higher handicaps.

The Seniors and Masters Categories also cater stiff competition to all Players with the competitive interest and edge being maintained through the year.
