Alston in action at CB Cup finals

International singer songwriter Alston Koch brought a emotional tear to the eyes of Sri Lankan expatriates when he performed a ‘soulful’ Sri Lankan National anthem at the One Day International Cricket finals at the ‘Gabba’ in Brisbane Australia.

Alston is the cricketing Ambassador to Sri Lanka now performing in Australia. Signed to Sony Entertainment, Alston Koch launched his new song ‘SOUL SOUNDS’ to a world TV audience of 1.8 million during the drinks break of the game. The music video supporting the song was also featured on the monitors at the grounds during events at  the GRAND PRIX on Sunday in Melbourne.

Two Sri Lankans have upstaged the world’s entertainers by showing off their talent in sporting events in two of the World’s largest continents recently....Australia and America M.I.A in the USA and Alston Koch in Australia.

Sri Lankan-born Melbourne musician Alston Koch, who had a hit with Disco Lady in 1977, is seeking acceptance and closure with his new album, titled ‘Don’t Funk With Me’.
