Amrith bowls Trinity to victory

Left-arm pacie Amrith Srimahan claimed a match bag of 9 for 62 and hurried Trinity to their seventh win of the season after skipper Niroshan Dikwella had pulverised an ineffective Mahinda attack to the tune of 212 runs (26 fours, 2 sixes) at the Asgiriya Stadium last afternoon.

The Rajans, spearheaded by an attractive knock of 89 in 118 balls by Viraj Karaputugala, were able to overtake the Royal total by 12 runs and win the battle for the first innings lead in their drawn game at Lake View.
