This is the final call for students who are interested in commencing their studies from the month of February 2012 in the Beautiful country of New Zealand. It is important to note that getting an offer letter from an institute or university is time consuming, particularly at this time of the year where thousands of candidates are keen to secure a place. As a result we Overseas Student Centre (OSC) would like to invite all students to apply now to avoid unnecessary disappointment. Further to this we would like to emphasize that it would be an advantage if the student has already received IELTS results or has sat for and is awaiting results.

Diploma Programs: IELTS 5.5 and no band less than 5.0.
Bachelors Programs: IELTS 6.0 and no band less than 5.5.
*7.0 and no band less than 6.5 apply to some special programs.
Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, Masters, MPhil/ PhD Programs: IELTS 6.5 and no band less than 6.0.

We are glad to introduce the free air ticket promotion to all students who are pursing their studies in New Zealand through the Overseas Student Centre up until February 2012. Since this offer is valid until a limited period of time, we encourage you to take the benefit.

Why New Zealand?
Popular destinations for international education have too many visa restrictions which create unnecessary frustration and disappointment to students and parents. Further to this, students are required to show funds of large sums to secure a student visa in order to complete their education overseas. To mitigate this current issue OSC is glad to promote New Zealand as an excellent study destination. Comparative to many other sorted out destinations, New Zealand offers exceptionally competitive school fees.

New Zealand has an international reputation as a provider of quality education. It has a progressive education system with many state of the art facilities. It offers a safe learning environment with excellent study opportunities and support services for international students. Courses are available for academic, professional and vocational studies at New Zealand institutions - universities, polytechnics and institutes of technology, colleges of education, secondary schools and private training establishments.

New Zealand higher education has 10 levels of study with level 1 being a certificate and level 10 a doctoral degree. International students can read for courses from level 5 and above. Each level is progressive in terms of complexity and difficulty. Students who complete a course of study are able to work in New Zealand full time for 3 years after completion of their course. Students are also able to apply for permanent residency (PR) if they satisfy the required amount of points. If a student's choice of course is in the absolute and immediate skill shortages in New Zealand, there is a high possibility of qualifying for a PR visa.
