Dr Madeleine Ogilvie presents workshop to Sri Lankan graduates

At ECU students have the opportunity to study in an innovative, research-intensive university alongside some of the most influential research academics in their field. We work with our local partners, nationally and internationally, to respond to current trends including cyber bulling, climate change and health-related developments.

Dr Madeleine Ogilvie, Head of the School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure at ECU, is travelling to Sri Lanka to inspire the next generation of postgraduate students. The Research Proposal Workshop will provide those who attend with the opportunity to learn how to apply for courses at ECU as well as guidance on how to write research proposals to accompany applications.

Dr Ogilvie began her career as General Nurse before moving into Sales and Marketing Management.
In 1996 she became a freelance management consultant with the final shift into academia in 1997, when she joined ECU as a Lecturer.

joining ECU she has progressed through the ranks to become the Head of School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure within the Faculty of Business and Law. This role allows Dr Ogilvie to give students a broad overview of studying at ECU, as well as highlighting specific examples of the exciting research that occurs at ECU.

If you are interested in learning more about the excellent research opportunities at ECU and speaking with a respected researcher, then the Research Proposal Workshop is a 'must attend' for you.
