The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the national body of marketing yet again produced a world-prize winner in the Chartered Institute of Marketing examination held in December 2010, further moulding world-class marketers in the country. SLIM student Ahlaam Malik was recently felicitated by the CIM Sri Lanka Region for being awarded the world-prize in the Analysis & Decision (A&D) subject area. Malik was recognized as the 8th world-prize winner coached by senior lecturer Mr. Prasanna Perera. SLIM awarded Malik a fully paid overseas training in Singapore.

A past pupil of Royal College Colombo 7, young Malik excelled in the O/Ls and A/Ls. He is also a graduate from the Charted Institute of Management Accountants. Currently he is employed at Reckitt Benckiser Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. in the capacity of Assistant Manager - Commercial Finance.

Mr. Prasanna Perera a Marketing and Management Consultant and Certified Trainer, is regarded as one of Sri Lanka's best marketing lecturers for CIM examinations. Mr. Perera started his marketing career in 1983 spanning a period of over 20 years, starting with the Browns Group. Mr. Prasanna is a Fellow Member and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing U.K., Director of the Canadian Institute of Marketing, Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, and Sri Lanka Institute of Directors.
