Sarinda steers Harward to inter-house TT title

Sarinda Malavige of Harward House emerged the senior champion, overcoming a stiff challenge from Osura Nawagamuwa of Reed House in straight sets in the final at the annual Inter-House Table Tennis Tournament of Royal College held on May 14 at the Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo.

Sarinda beat the college table tennis skipper Vindula Ganegoda creating a major upset in the quarter-finals and the school's deputy skipper Punith Jayathilake in the semi-final stage on his way to the final. He also beat last year's skipper Samitha Abeyratne in the quarters and Himash Ranatunga, a senior player in the semi-final. Marsh House emerged overall Champions with Harward House being Runners-up.
