An elated Madhawi, commenting on her achievement elaborated that she had always wanted to embark on a career path which would bring her immense success. "I chose the chartered accountancy course offered by the ICASL because not only was the institute highly respected, but accountants were very much sought-after in the business world both in Sri Lanka and abroad and Chartered Accountants always enjoyed a higher level of honour. I am glad I made the right choice and this award only cements that fact," she added.
