Aney is it true?

Let down badly?

The talk is that a leading cricketer is now going about saying that he should not have been axed from the final 15.

It is said that he is going on and on that a certain big wig had promised that he would be in the side but now that he is out that the blame should be on the Big Guy who has let him down very badly. But the proof is in the pudding, say the experts.

Cardinal sin?

The boys from the Suduwella santhayas went to play with the Oval Ball to Tangkok in Bhailand . Boys 16 and less were taken to play at 80,000 per peice.

A part of it was to fund the mastering types who had a jolly time shopping for clothes among other things. Some poor parental types had to borrow and or Pawn their precious things to get their offspring to the plane. They were afraid that if they did not, the boys would suffer. The Pooray man collected all in cash to be given to vestor the sly one. Is this a Cardinal sin or a sin that needs a cardinal look. Some say it is abuse of the child who has a love for the oval ball.

What happened to Muhan

What happened to Muhan of the Diram house who refused to give the silver that was left to buy the land from the aged ones? Ask the parents who are worried.

The silver was meant for the pootball grounds and not for you told Diram house to Vestor the sly one.

This man is a shame to the founders of science and virtue as he poked the children and told Diram in true Mariakade style. No pootball no cricket - only a cardinal stooge say some.

Pitch not all that rosy

All’s well that ends well? Well it looks as if all is not that well at a cricket pitch that is being prepared for the World Cup. The Top Man of pitches has told the press and TV personnel that a leading pitch for the event is now in top order.

But the grapevine informs us that this particular pitch is now being prepared with feverish passion as it has not been done up, as said, and now that the heat is on frantic efforts are being made to get it ready.

Umpires rule changed

A standing rule in cricket is that a selector cannot be an umpire. However this rule has been changed by a certain individual who had gone to a Big Wig and told him that the rule should be changed. And the rule was changed and this guy is now umpiring. What power in certain cases can do!

Grabbing all at hand

A leading umpire who has won international accolade was standing at a local game but he could not continue with it because his mother-in-law had gone over to the Great Beyond. As a result he could not stand in at several games. However once the calamity was over he has come back with a bang and has grabbed all the games that could be officiated because of the money that is involved.

Rs. 500 a day for umpiring

A certain umpire that did yeoman service as a player in Dubai a few years back and broke away from the parent body to form his own association is not getting any games to umpire. Now this association is seeking games and going over to schools achieve their target because they seem not to get any assignments. It is said that umpires from this association are even willing to ‘stand’ for Rs. 500 per day. What has the standard of umpiring come o these days?

Netball debacle

The World Cup netball competition is scheduled to be held in Singapore shortly and practices have begun in earnest. A coach who claims that she should be coaching the team is now going around taking signatures from players that if this coach is not in charge of the team these key players will withdraw from the team. How low can one get!

Strange bedfellows

Politics has made strange bedfellows. This is flowing to the Oval Ball as Cow Boy Roy is sitting together and saying sweet things to the DON from the hills. What are they up to wonder some? Others say CHEE MEYA knowing what names Cow Boy called the DON.
