Calling sister Guides to muster what the rains washed away

The Girl Guide Association, "home" to generations of Girl Guides in Sri Lanka was flooded by several feet of water brought by the rain last week, with years of hard work and dedication being washed away within minutes.

Over the past 93 years, the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association has served the girls and young women of our country by providing training in Life Skills, instilling the values of responsibility and discipline, imparting social etiquette, spreading knowledge and awareness on pressing health and social issues and empowering girls and young women by infusing self confidence.

Now is the time for all former Girl Guides to rally round and lend a hand in turn to the Association that has made such an impact on their lives.
