Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Once I made a train

By Lakshani Seresinhe (11 years), Lyceum Int., School, Nugegoda

Once I made a train
With all kinds of junk and strings
I even put a tiny bell on top
My train had everything.

I pulled my train along the track
Then all at once my sister came
To take the bell away
Then my mother took the strings
My dad took the skates and boxes
They did not leave a thing

Once I had a little train
That started well down the track
But then it met my family
And it never, ever came back!
