IDM Affiliated Campus proudly announces the launching of Business Degree programmes; B.A. (Hons) Business Management and B.A. (Hons) Marketing offered by Buckinghamshire New University - UK.
The launching of the programmes was held on September 17 2010 at 6.00PM in the Grand Ballroom at Hotel Galadari, Colombo.

The chief guest was Dr. Lorraine Watkins-Mathys, Head of Applied Management & Law, Faculty of Design, Media & Management, Buckinghamshire New University - UK. The Chairman IDM Group of Companies and the Board of Directors of the IDM Affiliated Campus attended the function. A large number of invitees, prospective students and professionals were present at the launch.

IDM the Pioneers in ICT education & Training in Sri Lanka has been providing ICT Education since 1981. Started with a humble beginning of providing beginners diploma programmes in computing we now provide degrees, master's & doctoral level programmes in ICT.

With the economic growth of the country the demand for management courses increased and IDM started its Management Faculty. During the past we have been conducting management programmes up to Higher Diploma level. In order to take them up to degree level we introduced the two programmes that we are inaugurating today namely B.A. (Hons) Business Management and B.A. (Hons) Marketing in affiliation with Buckinghamshire New University - UK.

B.A. (Hons) Business Management - The Business Management top-up degree programme is designed to enable you to progress your current business qualifications to an Honours degree level, which can really help with your career progression.

The programmes is offered in two levels in Sri Lanka, First level being the HND in Management specialized in Business Management, followed by the Final level of study, the Degree (Top-Up) from the Buckinghamshire New University at our Campus.

B.A.(Hons) Marketing - The purpose of marketing is to create value for customers, by identifying, anticipating and satisfying their needs. The programmes is offered in two levels, first level being the HND in Management specialized in Marketing, followed by the final level of study, the Degree (Top-Up) from the Buckinghamshire New university at our Campus.

There will be two intakes per year in September and February. Classes will be held during weekends Saturday evenings and Sundays. Course duration will be 12 months. Course fees can be paid in monthly instalments. The first batch will commence today September 26. The Programmes will be conducted at IDM City Campus #1, IDM City Campus #3 in Colombo & IDM Jaffna Campus, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. This will be the first time for a British Degree Final Year (Top-Up) to be delivered in the Jaffna peninsula. The lectures will be conducted by a renowned panel of lecturers.
