RAINBOW PAGES widens its product portfolio

SLT Publications (Pvt.) Ltd, popularly known as Rainbow Pages, is looking forward this year to the new Computer Touch Directory Information System that focuses on helping tourists to access data "We are hoping to install Computer Touch System Directories in all major hotels within the Colombo District and also at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake," said Mr. Malraj Balapitiya, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SLT Publications (Pvt.) Due to its diversified range of access media, SLT Rainbow Pages has been able to cater to people belonging to different walks of life. These sources of information make directory information accessible from anyplace at anytime and paves the way to make life easy and convenient for the public. It has brought about revolutionary changes in the lifestyles of people resulting in decision making breakthroughs and advances in business communication.

Mr. Balapitiya said that the Directory CD is a wonderful piece of technology that contains all island information pertaining to Government Institutions, Religious and Other Organizations, Personal Names and Rainbow Pages with over 20,000 Business Listings spread across 1300 Product and Service Categories and Classifications that it the most comprehensive and accurate information hub sought by many,. He added that the information in the CD can be searched according to Name, Organization Name, Classification or Area. The Directory CD is issued to organizations free- of -charge and to Residential Customers on request. SLT publishes five Business Directories in two cycles to cover the entire island. The main Business Directory is published to cover the Western Province and four additional Business Directories are published to cover the other provinces.

The e-directory is the latest and most innovative addition to the Rainbow Pages associated product portfolio. The entire Classified Business Directory could be viewed page by page to obtain information. This could be accessed via the web portal and will be downloadable in the near future. It can be distributed and viewed off line or on line. IP TV is the latest addition to the SLT family from which directory information could be obtained via home TV for the first time in Sri Lanka.

The Call Centre facility provides easy access to information over the phone. This fast and efficient service is available in all three languages, 24 hours a day and is provided by friendly and courteous staff using state - of - the - art - technology. "The Directory and Rainbow Pages information is being shared by other service providers and is the preferred choice of leading mobile operators in Sri Lanka for customer inquiries," said Mr. Balapitiya.

SLT customers can obtain this information by dialing 1231. Mobitel, Dialog and Etisalat customers can obtain this information by dialing 444. Meanwhile, General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Ruwan Wijethunga said that today's digital age is characterized by hand held devices like the mobile phone and that WAP was specially developed with the mobile phone user community of over 14 million in Sri Lanka in mind.

This gives them fast access to a store house of valuable information and that this would be an incentive to mobile operators in other countries too.. This service is now available to all mobile service providers, namely Mobitel, Dialog, Etisalat, Airtell and Hutch. "This could be accessed via www.rainbowpages.mobi and customers will be able to browse for important numbers, tourist information, restaurants, films and road assistance through their mobiles," said Mr. Wijethunga.
