‘Rosetta’ at Alliance

‘Rosetta’ a French film revolving around a seventeen year old girl who lives in a trailer park with her alcoholic mother will be screened at 3 pm on Tuesday May 4 and at 6.30 pm on May 5 at Alliance Francaise, Colombo-7.

French-Belgian film written and directed by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne portrays Rosetta who is trying to survive and to escape her situation. she attempts to find and hold a job that will allow her to move out of the caravan and away from her mother.

Rosetta won the Palme d’Or and the Best Actress awards for Émilie Dequenne at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
