New TNA MPs meet in Trinco today

By Sinniah Gurunathan, Trincomalee correspondent.

Fourteen new Parliamentarians of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will hold a meeting today in Trincomalee, according to TNA leader R. Sampanthan.

Thirteen MPs are from the five districts in the North and East and one is from the TNA national list.
Five MPs from the Jaffna district, three from the Vanni district, three from the Batticaloa district, and one each from Trincomalee and Amparai have been elected on the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchchi ticket as the TNA was not a registered party.

The Trincomalee district election results will be officially announced after a re-poll on April 20 in Kumburupiddy, a village north of the east port town.
