Int’l Schools Athletic meet on March 5

The marquee event on the co-curricular calendar of all International schools, the Inter-International Schools Athletic Championship (ISAC) 2010, is set to kick off next Friday.

This year’s competition, which is the tenth edition of the competition, is being organized by Lyceum International School, Nugegoda.

Track and field action will take place at the Sugathadasa Stadium from March 5-7 starting 8.30 a.m. each morning. 3500 athletes from 21 International schools will compete in eight age categories.

Chief Guest for the opening ceremony will be sprint queen and Olympic medalist, Susanthika Jayasinghe, while the closing ceremony will be graced by President of the Sri Lankan Amateur Athletics Association, Palitha Fernando.
