Patients will always remember his healing hands

Dr. S. Sathasivam

Although it is almost a year since the death of Dr. Sathasivam, we, his patients, still miss him. We cannot come to terms with the fact that he is no more. His death was a great shock to us.

His was a healing hand. He was not only a physical healer but also a mental comforter. His patients would come out of his consultation room all smiles. His fees were very nominal, and he never took money from the poorer patients.

He was well read. He was interested in Buddhist philosophy. We exchanged books on Buddhism and science.

Doctor, we miss you. May you be born among us again and follow the same profession to continue your healing mission.

May your Sansaric journey be short and smooth, and may you attain the bliss of Nibbana.

Ranjanie Chandraratne
