Left arm spinner Dinuka Hettiarachchi put Chilaw Marians on top on day two in their Premier League cricket encounter against Tamil Union played at the P. Sara Stadium. Dinuka's figures of 6 for 40 helped the Marians bowl out the home team for 124.

Earlier Janaka Gunaratne slammed an unbeaten 84 while Harsha Cooray supported him with a knock of 58 helping Chilaw Marians.

Janaka’s knock which came off 118 balls included ten boundaries and two sixes while Harsha’s innings comprised eight boundaries. Janaka was also associated in a valuable 71 runs stand for the ninth wicket with Dinuka Hettiarachchi.

A fine knock of 158 in only 163 balls inclusive of 15 boundaries and five sixes by Jeewantha Kulatunga saw Colts amass a massive score of 406 for 5 declared against Saracens SC at Colts ground.

Jeewantha along with Dilruwan Perera gave the Colts a flying start by putting on 166 runs before Dilruwan fell victim after making 86 ball knock 72 with nine boundaries and three sixes.
