Siyatha Television is now on

Two new television channels have come into the mainstream telecasting last week bringing the total free to air channels up to sixteen.

‘Voice of Asia Network’ popularly known as ‘Siyatha Media’ have started telecasting their very first television arm Siyatha TV in Sinhala and Vettri in Tamil languages from last Thursday. Telecasting from Colombo on UHF 32 and 46 and UHF 35 from Kandy, UHF 23 from Gongala and UHF 31 from Gammaduwa, Siyatha and Vettri TV channels have become the first in the country to cover all nine provinces of Sri Lanka from the inception.

Also Siyatha TV can bee seen via Intel Sat 906 to many countries around the world. According to Director Siyatha Television Nimal Ekanayake, this is the very first time in Sri Lanka, a normal free to air channel uses satellite technology from the inception stage.
