Regent College UK

Mr. Selva Pankaj (FCMA, MBA) is the Principal of Regent College, UK, one of the biggest education establishments of London. He visited Sri Lanka last week to promote their special University Foundation Programme (UFP) which is aimed at foreign students who want to prepare themselves academically and personally for life at a British university with guaranteed admissions to more than 180 Universities.

Q: Why should students follow University Foundation Programme (UFP) instead of regular A/L exams? What are the advantages of following this course?

A: The University Foundation Programme is designed specifically with the needs of the international student in mind. Unlike standard A-Levels, this course includes certain units essential to progress onto British university such as IELTS and Academic English, Study Skills and Research Methods, and the Social and Cultural Structures of the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, this course is accredited by the University of Middlesex. For the past five years, every student on our UFP course has gained entry into a British university which is a strong indicator of our success.

The University Foundation Programme prepares students for life at British university. If students complete this course successfully, including obtaining a Level 6 in the IELTS exam, then they are guaranteed a place at university.

Q:Your education establishments have been very successful. What are the main reasons behind this success?

A:There are many reasons behind Regent College's fantastic success rate. We attribute our success to small class sizes enabling each student to get the attention they need and the use of our unique Four Step Learning Model which ensures students focus on the areas of study that need the most attention. Moreover, our students are fully supported by experienced teachers and the college is committed to providing the best educational environment possible.

Q:What about extra-curricular activities like sports or arts?
A:
Whilst Regent College is focused on academic success, we believe that a good student is one that has a wide range of skills and experiences as well as a good academic track record.

Therefore, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities. Students can play games such as cricket and football in the sport field close by.

Q:How does a prospective student who wants to join your college get more information for Regent College?

We have been working closely with PATHE Academy and also exclusively for the last couple of years. PATHE Academy (Overseas Students Placement Department) is fully geared to handle all queries on behalf of Regent College.

All the students can meet our local representative for more details and information on Regent College:
