A quest for unmatchable young talent - APIIT 'Tantalize'
By Gayani Perera

The Student Activity Club of the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) organized its most talked about annual event 'Tantalize' in which students are provided the unique opportunity to showcase their talents in the areas of music and dance etc., to the public.

Tantalize is the ideal atmosphere for talent search, talent identification and talent development at APIIT. This annual event, which was held for the second consecutive year also attracts students representing various other higher education institutions which come together to compete in a spirit of camaraderie.

The final showdown of this spectacular event was held on August 8 2009 at the Ananda College Auditorium.

The ultimate aim in conducting a show of this nature is not only to provide the audience with high quality entertainment and bring out hidden talents of students but also to ensure that all proceeds of the show is donated for a worthy cause.

This year's proceeds will be utilized towards the building of a computer lab in 'Imbukwewa Kanishta Maha Vidyalaya' located in Polonaruwa. Tantalize was created in the year 2008 by the Student Activity Club (SAC) of APITT and has become a major source of generating income for charity work.

The event is organized through different organizing batches of APITT which this year happens to be HF08A1BA. This year's event too was a major success and the credit of this should undoubtedly go to the organizing batch of APIIT, who went to great lengths to make it happen.
