Education Times caught up with the youngsters for a one-to-one chat as they prepared themselves to face the much anticipated, make or break "Grand Show down".

18 year old Kishan Goonewardene said that the competition was no walk in the park as the captains' quizzes during the first 3 weeks were complex and the team tasks were anything but ordinary. He adds that "the biggest lesson I learnt was that winning wasn't everything .This experience is valuable as it will come in handy when you go into society."

The unassuming Pamith Kodikara, said "I didn't feel any pressure to reach the top of the points table, but I knew that you need to put some effort and need to work hard in order to stay in the competition. The tasks were challenging and apart from the knowledge I gained, I also made friends on set and off set. The experience is just great."

Pamith who heads the points table feels the pressure mounting on him as the season finale nears .However he is confident that he can face the challenge. 17 year old Peterite Kushan Felix points out that the 1st three weeks was all about using his brains to guess the correct answer as the quizzes were tough and added that luck had a big role to play as well.

As he broke into a grin he said "It will certainly be tough if I become a part of the top 6 because I know the other 5 are going to be really good. When Pamith and Radika are around its hard and I'm sure they won't give us easy questions. It might be a guessing game once again."

18 year old Clyde Rodrigo was all smiles as he started the conversation and said "The exposure was out of this world and I'm glad to be a part of it. It's about how ability, creativity, integration and team work come into play. I enjoyed myself and had a lot of fun.

The only girl who took on the boys with a brave face was Thameena Adnan, who says that she loved the team tasks as each task was quite enjoyable; however found the pressure a bit intimidating at times, especially during the weekly show down.

18 year old Radika De Silva says that Pathbreakers has been able to keep the consistency of surprise thus he has learnt the art of facing the element of surprise with a brave face. Meanwhile Dreno Mortier, says that what ever the outcome may be, he is proud that he has come so far along in the competition and knows that he gave his fullest.
