My favourite holiday activity

During these holidays, I spent most of my time with Funday Times. I thought of collecting many articles from Funday Times and file them into groups; such as Life History of Kings, Maths, Geography, Environment, Life History of Great People, Science, General Knowledge, Craft Work, Our Heritage, Poems etc.

I enjoy doing this because I can develop my knowledge by reading these. I have papers from 2002 – 2007. I cut those in varieties, punch them and put those in files. I took a printout of nametags and pictures connected to them and pasted those on the files.

Whenever I want any information, I just turn over the pages and refer them. If those articles are cut and grouped it is easier to refer than being in the papers. I thank the Funday Times for publishing such good articles. I hope the other readers also do like this.

The destructive wind

A powerful wind came
roaring by,
Swaying trees to and fro.
Leaves rustled and broke free,
Down to the ground
they did pour.

The wind blew a lady's hat,
And passed by a peaceful farm.
It made the cows, hens
and goats,
All scream out in alarm.

The howling wind destroyed
bird nests,
It made little babies cry,
Bothered people in the street,
And troubled anyone passing by.

The strong wind ruined
every house,
And in the end it calmed down,
After worrying all the people,
And damaging the town.

A visit to a doctor

One day when I was playing with my friends at school, I fell down on the ground and my front tooth was broken. I cried so much. My teacher consoled me and took me to a dental clinic close to our school.

Though I was scared of dental treatment, I followed the teacher into the clinic.

The dental surgeon was so kind and did the necessary treatment to my broken tooth without any pain and discomfort.

Furthermore, he filled my caries tooth also. It was a very nice experience with a dental surgeon and he chased the fear of dental treatment.
