Funday Times Nature Odyssey Photographic Competition

Kids, welcome to the Funday Times/Nature Odyssey Kids photographic competition. This competition is designed for all budding nature photographers of 14 years and under to sharpen their skills in photographing the various types of little animals found in your back garden. The competition will run through for six months with a theme given each month on which you need to make photographs and send them to the Funday Times. The picture size can be 6 x 4 inches and the subject needs to be strictly related to the monthly themes given. The photos should be certified as your own work by a parent. Please fill in the coupon given and send it along with your photos.

To start with – the Month of November 2006 will have a theme of ‘BIRDS in your Garden.’ How easy can that be? Not so easy my friends, you need to get your hands on a camera first, slowly approach the birds in your garden very carefully without scaring them away, and take great photos and send them to the Funday Times competition.

Judging will take place immediately at the end of each month, and a valuable Coffee Table Book on Yala National Park will be given to the winner – autographed by the authors.

The competition will enter its grand finale in six months where the six monthly winners will compete for the Grand Prize of a Digital Camera to be won.

Along the way, the Uncles and Aunties of Nature Odyssey will help you on your photography and also the Funday Times will carry articles on various types of wildlife seen in Sri Lanka.
