Jennifer reveals plans
Latin star Jennifer Lopez was forced to reveal plans about her new album last week.

The disclosure was made by the singer's spokesperson after the project was leaked on the internet. Even the first single from the album was leaked on the internet and subseqently aired on US radio.

Lopez revealed her new album is called This Is Me...Then. For the first time she takes a greater role in the work of her own album by writing most of the songs.

The first single from the album is Jenny From The Block. The song was first aired by a pop radio station in Hartford, Connecticut and then distributed to other radio stations.

The artiste - the musician who was once known as Prince has filed a lawsuit against a website operator.

Prince has accused Matthew Lankford of breaking the federal copyright of the US by offering pirated recordings of his recent concerts called Xenophobia.

Lankford has been allowing web users to download the concert recordings illegally. Lankford has denied the charges.

Prince is seeking $150,000 compensation per song in his lawsuit. This is not the first time the artiste has gone to court over copyright material. In 1999 he filed nine similar lawsuits.

In another internet related story, it was announced that an unreleased Nirvana track has been played on radio in both the US and the UK following its lead on the web.

The song You Know You're Right was regarded as a rare track recorded in 1994 before Kurt Cobain committed suicide.

The song also led to a legal battle between Courtney Love, the widow of the Nirvana leader and the surviving members David Grohl and Kris Noroselic. Love sued the duo for attempting to release a box set of Nirvana which was to feature the song You Know You're Right. The case commenced in May 2001 but it now appears to have been settled after Love recently said she was on talking terms with both Grohl and Noroselic.

A cover of an old Beatles hit The Long And Winding Road and a cover of the Elvis Presley hit Suspicious Minds as a double A side single has topped the UK singles chart this week.

Performing these songs are Will Young and Gareth Gates. Young was the winner of Pop Idol contest and Gates the runner-up. They recorded a duet of The Long And Winding Road featured on the Beatles final album Let It Be.

The Young/Gates rendition is a good attempt but far short of the original.

The Long And Winding Road was never released as a single in the UK but topped the US singles chart for two weeks in June 1970.

The last Beatles cover version to top the UK chart was With A Little Help From My Friends by Wet Wet Wet with Billy Bragg performing She's Leaving Home with Cara Tivey as a double A side single in 1988.

Meanwhile, the last Elvis cover version to reach No: 1 in the UK was UB40's version of Can't Help Falling In Love in 1993.

Noel Gallagher is the lead vocalist on the new Oasis single Little By Little which debuted at No: 2 this week. All this time it was Liam who performed the lead role on vocals. Little By Little is the hit for Oasis from the current album. The hit follows Hindu Times a No: 1 hit and Stop Crying Your Heart Out which peaked at No: 2. Little By Little is the band's 16th consecutive top 10 UK hit since August 1994.

Avril Lavigne, the 17-year-old Canadian song writer, singer finally crosses over to the UK chart with her global hit Complicated. She's already been compared to Alanis Morrisette and Sheryl Crow.
