S. Thomas’ College recorded a commanding 23-10 lead against traditional rivals Royal College in the first leg of the 29th Dr. R.L. Hayman Trophy waterpolo encounter at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex last weekend.

Despite going through a shaky start and Royal claiming an early lead, the Thomians bounced back to take a halftime lead of 11-6 and extended further by dominating the final two quarters in style. The second leg was played at the same venue yesterday.

In their last outing in 2019, Royal dominated both legs to complete with an aggregate score of 21-17 to claim the waterpolo title.
