View(s):President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday issued an extraordinary gazette notice declaring electricity, fuel and health as essential services.
Accordingly, electricity production and distribution, fuel production and distribution, all health services will be essential services.
Further more, President Wickremesinghe has declared as essential service as any service related work or labour performed in connection with the maintenance, reception, care feeding, and treatment of patients in hospitals, nursing homes, dispensaries, and other similar institutions.
