Athurugiriya fuel station clash: Seven suspects remanded till tomorrow
View(s):Seven people out of the nine suspects involved in a clash with the Police at the Athurugiriya fuel station were remanded until tomorrow.
A husband and wife who were among the nine suspects were released on bail after all of them were produced in the Magistrate Court yesterday.
According to the Police, on Friday people waiting in the fuel queue had become unruly and had started demanding fuel when the available stocks ran out.
Six Police officers injured in the incident were admitted to the Homagama base hospital.
