University registration for students who sat the 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination and qualified for university entrance, began on Friday. The registration process will continue until December 05, a University Grants Commission (UGC) official said.

At the 2020 A/L exams, 194,297 candidates have qualified for university admission from a total of 301,771 candidates. The numbers include 277,625 students under the new syllabus and 24,146 students under the old syllabus.

The exams were delayed due to the COVID-19 situation in the country, and accordingly they were held from October 12 to November 06. This resulted in a delay in university admissions as well.

Last year’s A/L exam results were released in early May this year, while the Z-scores were released late last month.
