Only two days of Christmas vacation for students
View(s):Students will have the shortest Christmas holiday in Sri Lanka’s history this year, Education Ministry officials said.
Accordingly schools will close only for two days on December 23 and 24, but as Christmas falls on a Saturday students will be able to get an extended holiday over the weekend.
Schools will resume classes on December 27.
In view of the prolonged closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school vacation period has been reduced.
