Aspiring Sithumli Nulara, a 14-year-old lass, won the Under-15 Girls Singles title at the International Women’s Table Tennis Championship held at the Gampaha Stadium. This tournament was conducted in conjunction to celebrate the International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 annually.

Sithumli, a student of Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha, began her career in 2017 and has been improving as a promising paddler ever since. She possesses a natural talent and has been an true allrounder of the sport.

Apart from her table tennis abilities, Sithumli is a keen in her academic commitments and is a gifted violin player. She is also a naturally talented classic dancer.

The youngster receives immense support from her principal Col. Mrs. Hema Jayawardena, who encourages Sithumli as well as other talented students to pursue academic and sports careers at Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha.
