Fund for students in Pirivena schools across the country
View(s):The Government last week agreed to establish a fund for students studying in Pirivena schools across the country.
Accordingly, a Pirivena Development Fund will be established for the 62,240 students studying in the several Pirivenas including the MahaPirivena, MulikaPirivena, PirivenaVidyayathana, Bilingual Pirivena, Special Pirivena and SolomonsMathasEducation Institutes.
The fund is expected to strengthen education facilities for the students. The Government spends around Rs. 4500 million annually for these students.
