Education Ministry invites UNICEF to work on primary education reforms

The Education Ministry has requested the UNICEF’s assistance to develop primary education in Sri Lanka.

At a discussion held recently, the Ministry had asked UNICEF to submit proposals for reforms that would improve early childhood education in schools.

The Ministry had also asked UNICEF to assist in the implementation of the reforms once they were ready.

The Ministry had planned to bring in reforms for primary education in schools at a rural and national level within the country. – CC
