A dengue free atmosphere during the exam season

The Health Ministry is planning to fumigate and clean all examination halls across the country to provide a dengue free atmosphere for students sitting for national exams next month.

Accordingly the Ministry had directed all Medical Officers of Health (MOH) offices to fumigate and  clean the 5584 schools in the country that will be used as examination centres.

The provincial and zonal education directors had been directed to coordinate with the MOH of theirrespective areas. Meanwhile, school authorities had been asked to get the assistance of parents as well to clean up the exam centres.

Around 2648 students will be sitting for the Grade Five scholarship exams on October 11 and another 2648 students will be sitting for the Advance Level (A/L) exams from October 12 until  December 6.
